About
Abra (short for Abracadabra) is just getting started in life. Her birthday’s coming up on November 10, and she’ll turn five years old. This happy youngster weighs just 11 lbs, and has spent her life so far in a kennel having puppies.
She loves people, other dogs, and zooming around the yard. Still very much a puppy, she has some civilizing to do. Her foster mom says she is clean and dry in her crate for up to eight hours, but doesn’t quite get the “outside” idea when it comes to potty-training.
Abra reacts to the “ahhhgh” command from her foster mom when she gets into trouble, and tends to roll over on her back when she tries to put her leash on her. Abra hasn’t been spayed yet as she is currently in heat. She will be spayed before going to her forever home. On August 16, she tested negative for heartworm, intestinal parasites, fleas/ticks & was given her Rabies/DHLPP vaccinations.
Abra’s foster mom feels her best life would be spent with someone who is home more than not. Definite requirements include a fenced yard, and another dog she can hang around with. And after spending five years living in a kennel, it’s possible she might never be completely potty-trained. But with vigilance, attention and lots of patience, though, she will improve in that area.
